Description

UGO Hero Machine render of Rink.

UGO Hero Machine render of Rink.

He is a small red imp; He has a chubby looking face and small wings. He can fly with them, yet not as fast as others can. He uses magic to fly faster, but is usually carried.

Rink suffers from amnesia, he can only remember very little of what happened to him 15 years ago. He tends to remember things from time to time, half the time, the things he remembers have a few facts missing or messed up.

However, Rink shows that he is actually highly educated and clever. Most of this information however he likely learned after his amnesia, yet a few small things he can remember quite easily, but things involving people and magic skills are a bit tricky, and he only remembers them, when his mind knows that it's in dire need.

Personality wise, Rink is oddly kind hearted for an imp and looks out for this friends and helps them in anyway he can. He often tries to make quick friends with the newcomers of the group; even tough often they end up getting killed or leave.

Before his amnesia however, his personality was a bit different, he was aggressive and enjoyed torturing his enemies. He showed a slight sign of this old dark impish behaviour in Chapter 6. Yet now he tends to be friendlier.

Bio

A long time ago (nobody is too sure) he tried to convince Abodahon, to change his ways. Why an imp was attempting to stop a person from becoming evil, nobody is sure. Rink was beaten very badly by him, and suffered amnesia, he only remembers tiny little pictures of this. However when Armic opened the gate and the demon warriors charged out. Rink decided to check and see what was going on. So he flew out and examined around. Little did he know, that he would embark on an adventure and remember his past.

In chapter 5

"My name is Rink, I rhyme with pink. I’m so small I fit in a sink!"

He learned that the 6 weapons were lost in this world, and two teams were waging war over them. He joined Duilin and helped him find them and stop the crisis. He has been Duilin's partner ever since.

In chapter 6

"What the hell is goin' on here?!"

Zeros' visits Duilin and Rink and tells them that he senses a strong power, which they must seek. They join up with him to seek it out, but the Prophet arrives and warns them of a group called the Aspyes. Once they locate where the power was coming from, and meet a few new people, they find out that Haraldur has returned. They then have to ally with Draven again, and they also meet a General of the Crimson Empire, named Valos, who was an apprentice of Nex. Valos, wanted Duilin to let his demonic side, and do what his father intended him for and take the throne as the king of hell. Rink of course knows the dangers of this, since he knew Duilin's father, and how Nex convinced him to do the same. Rink became a bit unsure if Valos was telling the truth of his plan, so he watched him and listened to his conversations with Duilin.

In chapter 7

"I'm getting worried..."

He was assigned by the Crimson Empire to go spy on Haraldur at Laus. He gains information about the technology and the how the area was defended. Afterwards, he joined back up with Duilin and Zeros' and slightly helped fight Haraldur. As they chased Haraldur back to Laus, only to have the city disappear, they sensed several powerful auras. They then flew off to the location, however Marshall and his friend Ein were following closely behind. Rink was able to distract them so Duilin and Zeros' could continue. After an amusing battle, Valos and Rink begin to bicker, and Duilin takes the side of Valos causing Rink to storm off in rage.

In chapter 8

"Those blackjack games are usually rigged."

The area was total darkness, however Rink has far better perception then most people, even Zeros’. The two of them meet up with Duilin and Ven. Duilin says that he is sorry for what he said earlier, and the two are friends once again. They are confronted by a group of people. It turned out they were part of the Kingdom of Tjed. Zeros’ and Rink arrive at the scene and Duilin apologizes to Rink about earlier. The people of Tjed needed Ven’s help to try and cure a pelage that has hit the Kingdom. The five of them go to Tjed to find out how to stop the pelage. They are shown people who look dead; nobody knows why they are like this. Suddenly all the sick people start swarming towards Ven. It turns out that Mavas was causing this. He was never really driven insane, and wanted to control Tjed the entire time. Duilin, Ven and Zeros’ fight Mavas and eventually bringing him to his end. A victory feast is then set up as they rejoice the great victory. The king of Tjed then gives Rink, Zeros’ and Duilin a ship to go back to mainland. Duilin captains the ship back and as they arrive they are attacked by Hell Crawlers. After him and Zeros’ vaporized them all Valos appears, and reveals he his body is controlled by the same dark spirit who controlled Nex. Valos claims he is invisible and then offers them to join him in the Grey Empire.

In chapter 9

"He's still alive...They both are...all of them."

Zeros’ senses the auras of Retan and Draven so he takes Rink and Duilin towards Romme were he senses them. Duilin and Zeros’ explain to Rink what is going on and who these people are, and he follows most of it. When they arrive on the island Jayce runs off towards Tjed and starts killing people. Rink then decides that it would be best if he got help from Ven. Rink flies off towards the main barracks and directs Ven to the location of action. Rink talks a few of the knights into getting the people to a safer place so they wouldn’t get hurt. But he then senses that more danger is afoot. He returns and finds Valos and Duilin fighting, Jayce has disappeared and Haraldur and Zeros’ are talking. He goes to see why they are, and Haraldur offers them a seize fire so they can take out the Grey Empire and a demon lord named Abodahon and his Talonscar Cult. Valos fires a large blast that takes out a bunch of people as well as Duilin and Valos himself. At first it appeared that they were dead, yet it became clear that Valos shot a teleportation blast. Valos, Duilin and the citizens were at Bandervil, the current mother base of the Grey Empire. The group then goes off to take it out, and rescue their friends. However, when they arrive Duilin appears have been convinced by the charismatic Abodahon, that Rink and Zeros’ are enemies to him. It was also revealed that Abodahon was the father of Duilin. Duilin attempts to fight the heroes, but Rink, Zeros’ and even Haraldur and Valos convince Duilin that Abodahon is evil, full of lies and plans only to bring the world to chaos. Rink remembers a lot about his past, that he forgot due to amesia. He remembers a lot of Abodahon’s plan, and the fact that Abodahon paid a group of mercenaries to kill his family, and enslave him. Duilin apologizes for his errors and Zeros’ and Rink forgive him. Haraldur kills Abodahon, but he dies in the process. Rink can now finally rest his worries.

In chapter 10

"There is the huge ass machine-like thing with a dog head and it's going to shoot a blast the size of Draven's ego in our general direction, if we, sorry, YOU don't do something about it!"

Rink goes for a little walk when suddenly he comes across gigantic magic powered machine reading a powerful and deadly attack. He gets Duilin to battle the machine and it appears to be extremely powerful. He then meets a man named Kerig, who happened to be passing by, he seemed quite over friendly, especially over friendly for a world like this. They two talk for a wile. Soon the rest of his friends arrive, yet the machine appears to still keep the upper hand in the battle. However, suddenly an angel appears, seemingly out of nowhere. He claims that he was sent here by the gods to remove the abominations of life. The battle wages against the machine, and it appears to have the upper hand yet it ends when it finally collapses due to lack of energy.

Rink with his friends to a near by village, so they could get new clothes. He then spends a little time at a pub with Aegidius, the angel, and tells him about their adventure. They return to the scene of the battle where Zeros' was waiting. Not to far away they spot the machine with Draven who is fighting Jayce. The battle ends with Jayce flying off, and the group then cases after them. Apparently Kerig was with them. He told them that Draven and the machine had gone into a secret lair. Duilin and Xenai are then able to enter the lair, by blowing open an aperture leading to the lair. Enventually Duilin summons Aegidius and him to come help them blast open the door. However as Xenai and Aegidius were about to blast open the door, the machine comes running out holding Draven and grabbing Xenai and Aegidius and heads toward the exit. Duilin and Rink chase after the machine. Suddenly a large explosion bursts from behind the door. Rink was able to teleport himself and Duilin out of the lair and back onto land.

After an extremely brief chat with Draven, he flies to North Point. The gang then decide to head towards North Point themselves, because obviously something is going on their. When they arrive, they are greeted by Draven. The Crimson lord offers them a proposal, they join him as his servants and he will protect them from the Dark Emperor Retan. They refuse. Draven enraged by this attacks the group, yet Duilin insists on battling him one on one. As Draven and Duilin have their climatic duel, Retan is charging a spell that will banish him and his friends from Gaian. Zeros' senses this and informs the group of this. Rink has one small chat with Zeros’ as he watches Duilin fight before he is sucked into the vortex.

In chapter 11

"Well, you better watch yourself, because you're really going to get it once my friends come."

Once Rink returned to Gaian, he was captured by lizard men and brought to Lizaberg. Gorus recognized the imp, and said they could use him to lure his friends, if they had also returned. Rink made a brief telepathic message to Zeros' when he sensed he was coming.

In chapter 12

"Mind explaining what happened here with my friend?"

Rink, once again played a small role. He was finally rescued by Zeros' after a mighty battle with Gorus and the two then went to Tjed, where they sensed Duilin's aura. When they arrived Duilin had transformed into a monstrous Demon Lord! Rink was scared for a moment but realized that he had actually just found balance before he went into a full bloodrage. With this, Rink might finally get to relax his mind. Hopefully Zeros' will think the same...

In Chapter 13

"Don't quit now! You can do this!"

Despite his size Rink still went into battle and fought side along with his friends to defend Tjed. Since Duilin was a bit too much to keep up with the little imp decided to help out Lagart. Rink even went as far to attacking the brutish Jayce. He didn't even back down when the draken went into his dragon form! Later in the battle Duilin was forced to transform into a Super Human, like he did into a demon lord. In his enhanced human form he was able to create a huge uber shield around Draven's CDAA attack that was being used to kill Jayce. Rink sent some motivational telepathic messages to Duilin as he was trying to hold down the gigantic fireball from destroying the Tjed. Duilin was successful and Rink was proud. However he did start worrying again as he noticed when he transformed he had a bit of a personality change, but he assured himself it was probabbly only because of the demon-human blood shifting, hopefully nothing serious.

In Chapter 14

"Who am I kidding? I rule."

Rink joined up with Duilin, Lagart and their new friend Bjendell, in search of a mysterious aura. Before they could figure out what it was, they were attacked by dark angels which were out to get Bjendell, who apparently was involved in some sort of angel-demon war. In the middle of the fight, Bjendell sensed that the king was in danger, so he suggested Duilin to go check on him. Rink joined with Duilin, and found that the king had been murdered. Duilin was fairly ticked off about this and flew off and started to try and hunt down the killer. Rink thought it would be best if they didn't inform to many people about Henri's death just yet, so they wouldn't cause to much panic.

He joined up with Goldolf and a scared Bell. Rink suggested they find a safe place to hide, but eventually they were ambushed and held hostage by a trio of agents with the Dark Empire. As he was being tortured he sent a telepathic message to Duilin asking for his help. With the dark angels gone, the half demon didn't hesitate to rush to his help. Ophelia who seemed to be leading the trio said he'd spare his friend's lives if Duilin gave up his. All seemed at lost, for Rink's best friend, until Lagart came rushing in with a brick and saved the day. Rink was able to save Bell by using his short ranged teleportation. Duilin, Lagart and Bjendell were able to defeat the evil trio (without killing them), and the day seemed at peace for a short while. Yet soon after the entire kingdom was taken over by Virmir's forces. Duilin however was informed by one of the Velkens that their kind has been forced into the empire, due to their world being held together by Retan.

The group was able to find a place of refuge, in a house owned by a kind lady. Duilin and Bjendell went out to try and save the Welkin and Rink stayed with Bell and Lagart at the house. Moments later a few people came with a poisoned Ven. One of them was named Justin who was able to figure out it was a poison that didn't harm the body, but the soul, and the only was to cure him was to go to some sort of spirit world. Justin who was a monk was able to teleport himself and Rink to go guard Ven's soul. Hopefully this will work...

In Chapter 15

"Let's rock!"

Rink and Justin were successfully able to protect Ven's soul and later they returned back from the spirit world. The imp then took some time to rest until Duilin returned. Duilin was able to free the Velkens, and thus Tjed was saved. Ven was cured, and he asked about king Henri, so Rink told him the bad news. They went for a walk, because Ven wished to be alone. On their way back they saw Ven attacking Renard. Duilin demanded him to stop, and he did so. The group then joined back up with Bjendell in a half angel half demon form. They talked for a bit, about what's been going on, and eventually they spotted the airships taking off, and eventually came to the conclusion the Velkens were chasing off the lizard men who were trying to escape. There was one airship left over, so the group then decided they should take the opportunity to try and finally defeat Retan. They decided that they would go to Kandarin and try and form an alliance to defeat him. As they got ready, Ven apologized to Renard and agreed to help out the group. On their way Duilin showed Rink this strange potion that he was given. Rink could sense that there was part of Duilin (or a similar demon lord's) aura in it the potion.

When they arrived at Kandarin they discovered that it was totally empty. Before they could start getting overly confused they were messaged by a lizard man scout who belived they were with the empire and gave them the new location of the Kandarinians, Gros Morne. They were also informed that Retan was attacking it. They arrived at Gros Morne and approached the Dark Emperor. Rink then drank a bit of the strange demonic potion and transformed into a high imp. The group engaged in an epic battle against Retan, smashing apart the city and forcing the draken to transform into his dragon form. However the battle was stopped by the giant beam of white light. Retan was killed. But what about Duilin?

Rink was able to save Duilin at the last second using his teleportation spell, however he was still exposed to the strong beam for a very short period and was dieing. The group transferred their energy into Duilin, and he was revived. Rink and the others were finally able to rest there minds and try and build a better future for Gaian.

Chapter 15-16 interlude

Rink along with the rest of his friends helped form the Gaian Federation. Rink was chosen to be one of the counsellors, representing the Helternian division and he has played a key part in many of the major actions in the Federation.

Abilities

Rink may not be the most magically skilled but he still has some very useful abilities. Rink has a very high perception and can even see figures in absolute darkness. He also uses his very small size to his advantage. At nighttime he can sneak into any enemy fortress undetected. From a distance he is often mistaken for a bat.

Fireball

A very simple fire spell and the most simple of all magical attacks. It's a simple plume of flame, rounded into a ball and can be easily tossed and do moderate damage to almost any type of target. Used very often.

Teleport

Rink has the ability to make short ranged teleportation, only around twenty or so feet. This can be quite useful in dodging large projectiles, and even make surprise attacks and escapes. When he performs this he disappears and leaves a puff of smoke where he exits and arrives. Recently, Rink discovered if he transfers his energy into another person he's touching he can teleport them along with him.

Note: It is only coincidental the similarity this has with Night Crawler from X-Men. Really.

Telepathy

Rink has some abilities in telepathy. He mostly uses it to send messages to other people, a telepathic message or whisper if you may.
