Description

Mavas stands at a medium height with longer brown hair. His armor is made of a deep black yet very shiny material resembling polished onyx. Long protrusions from this fiendish battle wear jut from his shoulders and hips, giving him an inhuman look from a distance. A pendant with a gold chain hangs around his neck, sporting a blood-red dimly glowing ruby. The ruby pulses brighter at regular intervals, synchronized with his heartbeat...

Bio

Mavas is cursed by the pendant around his neck, the Kelvot. This glowing red jewel apparently makes him insane, while granting him fearful powers... and can pass the same curse to whoever touches it. He seems to have enlisted the help of a small gray-robed necromancer, Degzgronzo who has the ability to bring the dead to life, creating zombies.

In chapter 6

"So good of you to give me a taste. Now I shall take the rest!! Heh heh heh hah hah HA HA HA HAAH!!!!"

Mavas seems to trail his younger brother Ven along throughout the whole chapter, staying just out of his reach. The two fight at several points, but only briefly, often with the end result being someone arriving in his aid and Mavas disappearing. Mavas unveils the strange powers of his pendant, taking the form of Zion and using his attacks against the real one. When Ven turns up in Aspyes on the other side of the planet, Mavas is intrigued by the fighting, the powerful warriors in particular, and observes the action. Finding Draven alone after the battle, Mavas descends upon the Emperor and copies him as he did Zion, leading to a fight between the two. Draven is clearly much stronger, but Mavas' strength grows with each attack, which Draven doesn't realize until Zeros' intervenes. Mavas disappears into the vastness of the Dark Continent, taking the form of a lieutenant of the Crimson Empire...

In chapter 7

Mavas causes some havoc around Crimson Empire camps, including skirmishes with Aura and Valos. His demeanor is more observatory though, and he eventually slips away, his purpose still unknown.

In chapter 8

The true power of the Kelvot is demonstrated as Mavas makes a large number of the populace of the capital city of Tjed his mindless slaves. Tricking Ven and stealing the Kelvos hidden within his brother, Mavas is able to use the combined power of the pendants to assume stolen forms without being in proximity to or killing them. A battle ensues, wrecking a large portion of the city as Mavas assumes a form which is a combination of Draven and Zeros'. Zeros' comments that though he as obtained power, he does not have the experience to wield it. Proving his point, Zeros', Ven, and Duilin ultimately destroy Mavas and the pendants shatter, the shards shooting across Gaian on the winds.
