Description

Alpha Retan is a tiny frail old man, hunched over by the weight of the thick black plates of armor that weigh upon his shoulders. His face does not betray his evil malice, for it it contorted and wrinkled, the angular features and pointed nose accented by his crooked devilish smile. He is mostly bald, but his long white beard spills down before his chest.

Bio

Alpha Retan is not a normal Draken but somehow transcended the limits of his race and became something similar to an undead, though not quite the same. Every time he is physically killed, he returns 1,000 years later stronger than before, though his translucent spirit is animate during the interlude, and able to contact magically inclined individuals and speak through dreams.

To break this cycle, he was not killed but sealed away in a pocket dimension a very long time ago. However, a backup plan in the form of a virus he implanted beforehand into a creature that eventually fused with Haraldur caused the man to free him in Chapter 5. Showing his grotesque dragon form, Alpha Retan was quickly overwhelmed by Haraldur, Draven, and the usual set of heroes during a catastrophic three way battle. He was ultimately vaporized by Draven's fully powered Crimson Death Annihilation Attack, which also nearly destroyed the world due to its detonating in the planet's pivital Arctic Region.

Alpha Retan's spirit returned in Chapter 8, meeting with his ally of long ago, Melkoth, though he could not due anything because he had 995 years to go before he would resurrect. When the Dark Emperor Retan returned in Chapter 9, Alpha Retan immediately went to his descendent to order him to join with Melkoth and the Grey Empire, an alliance that truly would have been unstoppable. The Dark Emperor Retan recognized the spirit as the annoying old man that has plagued his dreams with visions all his life, and immediately banished Alpha Retan to an unknown destination without so much as a flick of a wrist, possibly destroying him altogether. It is unknown whether Alpha Retan is truly gone for good...
