Shotgun

The shotgun was the very first firearm invented on Gaian. It fires a single shell full of a number of small spherical pellets called shot. The shotgun has several advantages when used against still targets. First, it has enormous stopping power at short range; the wide spread of shot produced by the gun makes it easier to aim and to be used by inexperienced marksmen.
The shotgun tends to be more so of a military used weapons, they were first seen being used by the Dark Empire. Shotguns tend to be used by more security officers or high-ranking soldiers. It is usually used for close combat and is almost never seen used on the open battlefield.
Other variations such as the automatic shotgun can fire multiple shells at once. This can be especially deadly in close combat against a number of foes. The Calibrate Shotgun is an adjustable type of shotgun and has several different firing modes.
