Kandarin

Kandarin is the term used to refer to a series of islands, located to the Northeast of the Crimson Continent. It used to serve home to Kandarinian Sovereignty. The islands are shaped roughly like a machinery gear, with some inlets and bays, making it to be a very suitable port nation. However, the Sovereignty, the patron inhabitant of Kandarin, has only two port cities: the main one in Qim, the industrial sector, and the small private one in Jovil, the capital. The one in Jovil is also used as a dropoff point for ferries carrying people. Obviously, the other islands have countless small wharfs for ferries, to carry passengers from island to island. The bridge system, however, is the preferred one in Kandarin.

Not much is known about Kandarinian wildlife. Most likely the sovereign colonists destroyed most of it, if not all of it, while colonizing the islands. There is, however, a great variety of marine life around Kandarin. Most of it is smaller fish, as well as a few larger predators preying on the said fish. No known terrestrial animals were mentioned, other than a hint of rodents (when Kronos executes Amaya, Ein's "girlfriend", he reveals to Ein that he used undead rabid rodents to carry out his sentence).

The islands of Kandarin are usually covered in a terribly thick mist, through which even birds can barely navigate. This makes it very hard to attack Kandarin from outside, due to visibility problems. Also, the "spikes" around the islands serve as perfect defensive outposts. Luckily for the Sovereignty, the mist is greatly faded inside the actual islands. Thus, ferries and ships travelling in the inner part of Kandarin are relatively safe.

The main cities of Kandarin are, Jovil (the capital), Qim (the main industrial region), Sizri (the leading magic research centre) and Undecimus (named after eleven towers around it, Undecimus is the largest Kandarinian military coalition).

Now, however, Kandarin is a badland. It's full of abandoned Kandarinian ruins, as well as many heavily deformed humans mutated by the radiation after the Kandarinian Cataclysm.
