Description
A former member of the Blue Minotaur to an Aspyes Revolutionary overnight. He knows a few outdoorsmen skills but he finds it wise not to travel without supervision with one more skill. Personality wise Marshall is polite and adventurous, sometimes too adventurous for his own good. He speaks with a very clean choice of words, and tries to refrain from using curse words and slang.
Bio
His parents who served the Temple Of The Blue Minotaur raised him. It was basically a cult that believed in summoning the gods’ creatures. Currently his skill in summoning was low. He lived a very peaceful life, and his only adventure was aiding in the defeat of a rival cult known as the Red Cyclops.
In chapter 6
“I suppose this will aid in my studies.”
Marshall meets the people of one of the latest legends. They were the ones who were in nearly every battle in the episode that happened five years ago. And they were about to go on another one; they were to have a war against a group planning world domination, the Aspyes. The Blue Minotaurs being collectors of legends, Marshall wants to join them, and be a part of it. However he learns that the Aspyes are in fact not a group of war mongering men, craving world domination, but a collective of people wanting to start a revolution to bring the world to peace. Marshall realising he put his clan in danger, and getting banished, he joins the Aspyes.
In chapter 7
“Hah, you are the one who is disgusting. Aiding a force bent on world domination.”
Marshall meets a person named Ein, who seemed to have teleported to Laus. Haraldur assigns Marshall on a mission to delay Duilin and Zeros' from attacking. He goes to a cliff and waits for them. Once they come by, he gains their attention and makes up a story about Haraldur going crazy, and going to destroy River Town, yet Zeros' disbelieves him so he flees. Marshall then defends the city of Laus and eventually goes off to attack the base camp. He fights a woman named Aura, and summons a Minotaur. After the battle he flees back to Laus, and then teams up with Ein, the two of them go off following Duilin, with Ein in a moth form. After the two of them fight off Rink, and some Grey Empire soldiers, Ein returns to his human form, and two of them make rest.
In chapter 8
“EAT LEAD!”
Him and Ein travel off to the woods and Marshall helps Ein in the construction of a great war machine which Ein called “The Leviathan”. The two of them, as well as the creatures Marshall summoned head towards the Crimson Capital to test the machine out. Haraldur and the other Aspyes arrive the scene and Marshall flies upon Wyvern back to go help them. Eventually a black hole destroys the palace and Haraldur teleports them all to the moon. The group makes some plans, and Marshall samples the aura of one of the moon creatures. They return to Gaian and begin to revolutionize villages in the Crimson Continent. They group finally rests at a near by city.
In chapter 9
“Game over Roland.”
Haraldur senses the aura of a few old "friends" in the direction of Romme. He then brings Marshall and rest of the comrades with him. However, Marshall and Ein are intercepted by General Roland of the Blue Minotaur. He asks Marshall to come back with him to the temple. Marshall suspects something is going on, but he follows him anyways. When the arrive to the Temple, he notices that the Temple is quite different, the master crystal was gone. He knows that something is wrong, so he points his machinegun at Roland and demands answers. Roland explains very little, and suddenly a swarm of zombies approaches him, when Roland makes an inhuman scream. He shoots Roland and runs off. He finds that Ein was locked in a cage, which was seemed impossible to get out of. With regret of leaving his friend, he continues to run. Soon Roland, who survived the shot, revealing that he is a zombie chases him into the Elder's chamber. Marshall and the Elder have a quick battle with their monsters, but it's cut off when a cage slams down over Marshall. The Elder offers him a deal, if he allows himself to be killed, he will live in harmony with the group of zombies. Marshall of course doesn't like the sound of it at all, yet he notices something, in order for them to kill him, they'd have to get him out of the cage, due to it's great power. So he lies and says that he agrees, the cage if lifted, Marshall shoots the Elder. Roland comes at him with his sword, yet he evades and the blade goes into the Elder. Marshall runs off into the underground tunnel systems and meets a man who survived the attack, his name was Raymond. Roland however followed Marshall down. They each summon their monsters and proceed to fight. Marshall wins due to the electric strength of his strange Ooze monster. Him and Raymond go to the surface, and find Haraldur and Ein outside. Tesla then arrives to guide them to Ugran, and Haraldur leaves to attend other matters. When the group arrives they are attacked by a necromancer named Kronos, who is believed to be the one responsible to the zombification of the Blue Minotaur. Marshall is captured in the attack and is taken to a prison in the Kandarinian Sovereignty.
In Chapter 10
“Viva la Revolution, you fascist scumbags!”
As Marshall was locked in disgusting prison of the Kandarinian Sovereignty, he rapidly made an escape plan. When the prison guard came to pick up his toilet bucket, he had summoned a small gel. He was able to remember the aura patterns of the gel so he could summon it without his amulet. The gel killed the guard and opened the door using the key. He fought the other prison guard and shot him with his machine gun. As he battled his way through the prison, rescuing other prisoners. Eventually his good friend Ein was able to break in, and help him escape. The two comrades snuck into a Kandarin hut and put on some standard sovereignty clothing as a disguise. Apparently Ein had made friends with a woman named Amaya, who was able to help them out.
Marshall went for a walk, because Ein told him to find the temple. He then spotted the zombie of Roland. Apparently he had survived the last encounter. He then dashed back towards Amaya's house, yet accidentally walked in on Ein and Amaya in the midst of romantic relations. Embarrassed he waited until his friends came out and the two then went off to escape form the Kandarin Island. Ein then used his astro-magic to summon a portal and the three went in.
Apparently Ein was a bit clumsy in his spells and the two wound up in some crazy alternate dimension known as the Borderworld. They group then met a man their named Alex. He was on a mission to find out what was causing a serious inter-dimensional warp problem with Gaian and the Border World. They agreed to help Alex out, and in return they’d join him in trying to overthrow the Sovereignty. They found that some strange crystals were causing the problem. After much effort they were able to remove them. Ein then created another portal to return to Gaian and the group, along with their new friend went in.
In a shocking surprise, they arrived in the chambers of Kronos, the Marshal of the Kandarinian Sovereignty, himself. They were all sent to the dungeons. Due to the dungeon being filled with mana draining gas, Marshall was unable to summon something to help him escape, even though he had his amulet. After a not so long wait, two zombie guards came and took him off to witness the execution, of Amaya. Ein was there with him and stuck with grief as he witnessed his love be brutally destroyed. The two were then carried off by undead wyverns and dropped on the northeast shores of Terian.
The two then hiked into the woods; there they met back up with Alex, who had apparently escaped. Marshall and Alex then built up camp. After Alex went out to go fishing with his pet headcrab Otis and Ein went out for a walk. Marshall was left alone, until he heard some dangerous sounds, and saw some frightening explosions from Ein’s direction. He dashed off to Ein, only to witness him being stabbed by a shrouded assassin who quickly fled the scene. They gave Ein some water, yet not to long after Ein began leaking some type of oil and then transformed into a dragon and went berserk. After some brief combat Ein turned to his original form. The three friends then decided to head into town and stop at a house built outside of Asgarnia. Moments later the group hear some dangerous sounding rumbling coming from Asgarnia, and find that the city has fallen. Marshall and Alex then head into town to find survivors.
In the city Marshall meets a man named Coriko. He talks with him, about what has happened, and they two decide to join together and look for more survivors. They stop at an abandoned weapon shop and pick up some new equipment. Suddenly a giant abomination appears and attacks the two. They were able to overthrow the creature by wrapping it in vines with Marshall’s new MagiPistols and set it ablaze with Coriko's Fire Magic. After the smelly creature dies, Marshall offers Coriko to join him in his quest and he accepts.
Chapter 10-11 interlude
Him and Coriko returned to the house they were Ein was staying, due to them getting chased out by Kandarin warriors. When they returned they were confronted by Roland. After a dramatic fight with him, which ended in the house's roof getting smashed by a mutant Wyvern, Marshall then joined a resistance group started by a fellow Aspyes member named Firstman.
After several months the resistance group was able to create an underground bunker. Marshall began working on secret missions to attempt on ruining the sovereignty and the empire's economy in hope of slowly but surely destroying them. He managed to keep in touch with Coriko who joined with him and Firstman, however Alex chose to stay in Asgarnia and help the resistance there. He had completely lost contact with Ein however.
In Chapter 11
"Let's get this show on the road!"
Him and Firstman went to the Vandrin County for a mission to set an explosive device in the main barracks. There they met Duilin who agreed to help them in exchange for information. They agreed on the bargain, and Duilin was able to destroy the barracks yet shortly after they were found out. After some running away from guards and some fighting against Vandrin's Mutants, good ole' Coriko arrived and helped them out. When Duilin bested Vandrin in combat, and held him hostage, the three were able to escape.
Then they arrived back at the secret Aspye hideout. Where they were assigned on another task, to liberate a small village. When him and Coriko arrived there, apparently a devil had already started some mischief. However the people of the village were able to escape. Yet that devil is still on the loose...
In Chapter 12
"We've got a few miles to travel, a village of slaves to free and whole lot of Kandarins to kill!"
Marshall and Coriko were sent on a mission to Lawessov, where they were to free slaves and destroy the Kandarin Occupation. As they were outside the village, they met a highly skilled summoning mage named Wilham who claimed to be the Grand General of a secret nation. He helped them complete their mission with little problems. As they were about to leave, Marshall was confronted by Raymond, who revealed himself to be a zombie with the Kandarin the entire time he knew him. The two battled, and Marshall blasted him into dust with his MagiPistols. The three then went back to Aspye Hideout, maybe now he can find more about this Wilham guy.
In Chapter 13
"I learned from my past actions to not trust people I have just met."
When Marshall and the group returned to the hideout Wilham went to speak to Kropotkin. Meanwhile he spoke to Firstman about what happened. Later, Kropotkin and Wilham spoke with Marshall, Coriko and Firstman about why Wilham was here. Aparently he was with a lost nation known as the White Chimera and he needed help finding tablets in these ancient temples that together hold the key to finding their hidden nation. They agreed to help Wilham and the group (except Kropotkin, he stays) went off to find the tablets. Apparently the first area was the hideout they were in, which was apparently built off of one of the White Chimera temples, so they went off to a couple other places. They had a few encounters with remnants of the Talonscar Elite and were later forced to be separated from Coriko, due to a Dark Dragon attack. Eventually they came to the conclusion that one of the lost tablets was at the Vandrin County, so Marshall and Wilham went off to get it...
In Chapter 14
"The longest chapter so far and I don't even get a remotely interesting quote!? This is exceedingly contemptible!"
Searching through Count Vandrin's castle for the tablet proved long and tedious for Marshall and Wilham. While everyone else was out battling and razing the land, the two summoners spent half the chapter looking around in a castle. Things started to get more interesting when they encountered a Kandarinian Vanguard in the castle. Wilham was able to knock him out, and the two finally found the missing tablet. Once they exited the castle they were chased by the monstrous lizard man High General Gorus.
An intense wyvern chase ensued, as the lizard general transformed into a speedy Doom Serpent. Marshall's wyvern was attacked by the Doom Serpent, which soon transformed into the deadly Death Wyvern. Marshall was thrown off his wyvern but Wilham was able to catch him on his wyvern before he hit the ground. They were able to loose Gorus, but soon enough they were confront by Vandrin and Roland. Wilham fought off Roland, but the count was able to knock out Marshall and Firstman who, along with Coriko, joined up with him earlier. Vandrin however was able to KO the archer as well, but he was no match for the Grand General Wilham, who was able to beat Roland. The day was seemingly at peace, when the villains were out cold and the tablet was in their possession, but a short climax ensued, when Roland got up and nearly stabbed Wilham in the back, yet Marshall gave a very lucky shot and took out Roland. He was once again killed, but for how long?
The group then traveled off to the destination of the final tablet...
Chapter 15-16 interlude
With very little left to do after helping Wilham find all the tablets, the whole group got around to talking. Marshall discovered that he actually doesn't really want to continue to Aspye revolution, he did see it going somewhere, but Haraldur was just allowing leading people on. The people really didn't know what they were getting into, and discovered that it would just be best to join in the Gaian Federation. Marshall is now a captain in the Helternian division. Although he's had trouble trying to fix his friendship with Duilin and Rink, they do tolerate him.
In Chapter 16
"Secure your oral cavity."
Him and Firstman, along with the rest of Duilin's squad went to Terian for a mission to kill Necrolytes. Firstman died in battle, which upset Marshall, however he was cheered up a little bit by the return of his old friend Ein. He returned to River Town with the rest of the group.
Weapons and Magic
Monster Summoning
Marshall's only magic ability is the uncommon art of summoning monsters to do battle for him. This magic art is very common with the Blue Minotaur. He summons monsters by flowing his magic energy through a sapphire with the aura and essence of the creatures stored in it. When he was given his amulet a couple of auras were already stored in to it for him.
List of monsters:
* = Given to him, with the sapphire.
The MagiPistol
A pistol made of mostly metal, save for the handles, which are ivory. On the side of it is a small dial and above the handle is a crystal, behind the crystal is a small pull to release the grip of the crystal so it can be removed. Under the barrel is a pull to open it up so you can reload the weapon. It fires a 9mm bullet, and can hold up to twelve bullets before being needed to be reloaded. The crystals are used to enchant the bullets with a certain magic element, depending on the crystal's colour: Red for Fire Magic, Yellow for Wind Magic, Blue for Water Magic and Green for Earth Magic.
