Isaac Kleiner

Doctor Issac Kleiner is an eccentric scientist and inventor who lives in the magic-oriented city of Asgarnia. He is currently devising various ways to power ahead-of-their-time devices without the use of the city's magic supply, should something ever happen to it.

Appearance
Kleiner is a stereotypical bespectacled bald-headed scientist in his late fifties or early sixties. His standard attire includes a tan coat and dark pants, and brown shoes.
The H.E.V. Suit
One of Kleiner's pinnacle inventions is the creation of the H.E.V. Mark I protective suit. H.E.V. stands for "Hazardous EnVironment" suit, which protects the user from various forms of harmful energy and radiation, as well as blunt trauma. The suit's power supply is a fusion of crystalline cetanium and solid firiandium, two very energetic metals whose energies are released when fused together by extreme heat. As of now, the fusion process can only be started by a small burst of heat magic. After this, the heat from the fusion is enough to sustain it. The extra energy is allocated to the suit's various functions, such as a protective energy shield, long-jump module, and heads-up display inside the helmet's visor.
Lamarr
Kleiner keeps a debeaked headcrab, who he has named Hedy Lamarr, as a pet (after the 1930s inventor and actress). Lamarr tends to cause Kleiner a lot of mischief, such as getting out of her cage or mucking with Kleiner's inventions. More often than not, Lamarr will try to couple with the head of a stranger, fruitlessly. According to a note posted in Kleiner's lab, Lamarr's diet is primarily composed of watermelons, most likely because of the fact that they are shaped like human heads.
Asgarnian Portal Storms
Kleiner has enlisted the help of Alex to travel to the Borderworld to locate the source of the portal storms destroying Asgarnia and stopping it, with the help of Kleiner's H.E.V. suit.
