Black Magic
From DALpedia
Black Magic is different from Shadow Magic because it uses different methods to cause harm. While Shadow magic is straightforward in its destruction (i.e. lightning, bolts, etc), black magic may cause curses, poisonous infections, physical or magical weakness. Also one of it's most darkest uses is damaging the target's mind, such as confusing them, making them afraid or even go suicidal. However the users of these types of spells usually go insane, like Valos.Demonic Magic is also considered a form of Black Magic, but because of it's similarities it isn't considered a completely different form of magic. Another point, is that Demonic Magic is simply a counterpart to Black Magic restricted to only demons. A plus side is that demons are immune to mind effecting black magic damaging their own mind, as well. The style of how the spells appear, however are much different, demonic magic spells usually have quite a hellish look to them (ie: projectiles looking like horned skulls, and glowing pentagrams appearing under the caster). Also black magic is normally black in color, while demonic magic is usually a shade of gold or red. Also those who practice demonic magic may gain the ability to open up Hell gates.
