Sword

A sword is a long-edged piece of metal, used as a cutting and/or thrusting weapon in many civilizations throughout the world. Most are simple blade weapons with a large piece of shaped metal coming out of a hilt. Swords are sometimes a little costly, so they are usually used by either higher ranked soldiers, or nearly every soldier in the more highly funded militaries. Swords are also used by the more upper-middle to upper class peasants, while the other peasants use daggers or spears to protect themselves.
